Seminal vesiculitis refers to inflammation of the seminal vesicle. Clinically, it can be divided into acute and chronic vesiculitis and often exists together with prostatitis, manifested mainly by sperm mixed with blood in fresh red color or in coffee color. It is believed in Chinese medicine that this disease belongs to the category of "Bloody Sperm". It is mostly caused by excessive sexuality and frequent masturbation which consume and damage yin essence, leading to disturbance of asthenia-fire and crazy circulation of blood, resulting in blood flowing with sperm, or by deficiency of the spleen and kidney, failure of the containing ability due to spleen deficiency and failure of the consolidating ability due to kidney deficiency, leading to loss of essence and blood in storage and leakage out of the meridians.
